Little Sparrows Educare opened in January 2014 and is owned by Nicole and Mike Honiss who strongly believe in quality childcare and education.
They provide a private, well-resourced facility which promotes a small, family-friendly learning environment that ensures exceptional child-to-teacher ratios, complemented by highly-skilled, qualified and experienced teachers.
Nicole and Mike’s History
We are a family of five living on the outskirts of Hamilton and are very excited to have realised the dream of opening an early childhood education centre having been involved in the industry for over fifteen years. Our family has a long association and real passion for education and we look forward to sharing this and our unique centres with the wider community.
Having raised three children of our own and working in the early childhood education industry for several years, we’re pleased that Nicole will be there to support and work alongside our extremely talented and qualified staff.
Mike will be in the background helping with business matters and ensuring the facilities and resources are continuously improving and kept up to speed. Our children are Michaela, Rachael and Daniel. Michaela is the Supervisor of the Hamilton Centre. Rachael has recently qualified with a medical imaging degree and is now working at the Waikato Hospital. Daniel is in his second year of a Bachelor of Business Analysis at University of Waikato.
